Hudson Ohio is considered the “jewel" of Northeast Ohio. Hudson boasts an outstanding education system that is nationally ranked, High end shopping district located downtown Hudson, and historic neighborhoods. The city immersed in history and tradition, with tree-lined residential streets and small-town charm. Overall, Hudson provides an outstanding quality of life.
Hudson was founded back in 1799 by David Hudson who was settled there from Ghosen, Connecticut. Hudson has the exact same "vibes" that a small town in Connecticut would have. Don't believe me?! take a look.
Quality of Life
An exciting part of Hudson is the downtown, which is extremely walkable and includes fine dining and quaint retail shops and fine dining. Hudson features world-class healthcare facilities and parks, wildlife preserves, and three golf courses, as well as major sports, recreational, and arts and culture venues. Hudson's School System
This is one of the reasons why living in Hudson is so desirable because the school district does NOT offer open enrollment. Hudson City Schools provides education for 4,600 children and ranks in the top 2% of Ohio districts!!! Hudson High School is a 2008 National Blue Ribbon Award Winner with their AP programs ranking among the top schools in the AP annual rankings. An astonishing 96% of the students attend four-year colleges. In addition to education, the school district is highly competitive in athletics and have award-winning art and music programs. It's safe to say Hudson has amazing schools!!!! The major con is student diversity.
Where to Live in Hudson Ohio
Hudson continually ranks as one of the top #25 neighborhoods to live in, in all of Ohio. The average home price in Hudson ranges from $350,000 to $450,000. Unlike other big cities where that will only get you a 3 bed/1 bath, here in Hudson, you're looking at a large colonial with 4 bed/2 bath for that price range. Things To Do In Hudson Ohio
Hudson is a small quiet town, but don't let that fool you! There is a ton of stuff to do in Hudson: Shopping, Restaurants, parks, golf courses, etc...
Go shopping Downtown
There are more than 100 independently owned, regional, and national chain retail shops and restaurants. The city also hosts around 75 events each year, including live concerts at the Gazebo found on First & Main.
Local Restaurants
Normally when I go downtown, I do a bit of shopping, but really I'm only there so I can build up an appetite and smash on some delicious food! You name it, Hudson's got it! For some delicious Pizza, 3 Palms Pizzeria and Farinacci Pizza is always a go to. For a classier atmosphere, Rosewood Grill and Downtown 140 are always great date options. If you're looking to watch the game and sip back a few local brews, The Brew Kettle has a great beer menu and AMAZING food.

Personally, I LOVE golf and Hudson has three beautiful golf courses!
The Hudson Springs Park is a great place to hang out. There is a 2.2 mile trail that loops around the lake and if you have a kayak, drop it in the water and let the fun begin!
Conclusion
There is so much to do in Hudson, but the nice thing about the city's location is that you're no more than a 30 minute drive to anything. 30 minute drive to Cleveland and Akron and only a 10-15 minute drive to surrounding cities. Overall, Hudson is a great city that is family oriented with excellent schools, low crime, gorgeous housing communities, and a downtown that is perfect for those lazy Sundays.
